![]() I haven't received taskbar update recommended notifications ("nag pop-up slider notifications".yea, I know the kind) referred to in your thread, at least as far as CCLEANER is concerned. Not that I doubt your post, I get it, but my issue isn't that Ccleaner is not working, but about a paticular side-effect on Firefox as per my original post. So I think you got other problem and probably related to your security software interfering with ccleaner working. Also I installed v5.53 and have no issue using it to clean FF65.0.1圆4. I got that so unless you have v5.53 or later it will not like it and will send popup nagging you. thanks again, the info has been informative & appreciated.''philipp ]''įYI lately if your ccleaner isn't the latest version and installed on Windows 10 it will disable the taskbar resident program and will start to alert you that your "version will not work with latest Windows 10" update. I know it's not a true vpn, more of a proxy, but on my tests it actually ran quite fast, especially opened very fast, at least twice as fast as my currents, and that's been a big pet peeve of mine for years. I'm looking into replacing Ccleaner with Bitbleach, and while I'm at, swapping browsers over to Opera for it's built in free VPN option with no data bandwith restrictions or other usage limits etc. Thanks and was unaware also that this problem actually surfaced around the time that Ccleaner was acquired by Avira anti-virus brand, along with other questionable policies & practices issues I won't ramble on about here. The issue is unfixable from the firefox side of things, as there's nothing the browser can do against 3rd-party tools like ccleaner which are deleting arbitrary files in your firefox profile, they shouldn't touch. Hi, please take a look if ccleaner is providing an update that fixes this issue or else report it to them. ![]() thanks again, the info has been informative & appreciated. And I was expecting that by now, after all this time, there should be a quick easy patch to just click apply and be rid of that nuisance once and for all. I have seen only settings adjustments I detailed previously here, and that's not a solution, it's conceding failure that this is (so far) an irreparable situation. If you know of a patch about this subject, please do post. ![]() And I just don't know if Firefox's internal alternative does as thorough a scrubbing. That's where half or more of my cleaning duties come from. ![]() Is one EVER going to come out ?ĬCleaner is a wonderful product, including the free version, and it's such a shame to have to disable Firefox from being monitored. I've been using CCleaner for several years with no problems, yet since Quantum was released this has been a constant annoying issue.įor you uninformed, what I am referring to is that if you have CCleaner while a Firefox user you must disable (in CCleaner) it's auto-monitoring of Firefox or Firefox will, on every Re-open, ask if you want to restore previous session tabs or start a fresh new session. I read a couple other threads by users dating back to when FF Quantum first emerged (Version build 57.0 I think.) which was a while ago now, and they were about the same issue as in my title description. ![]()
